And so it seems that a new browser war is inevitable. Yes, Google enters the browser arena with Google Chrome. Google has released their open-source web browser named Chrome today.
Built upon Webkit, the same rendering engine as Safari, and with some features from Firefox, Google Chrome poses as a serious competitor to current browsers. Still in beta, some of its eye-catching features include:
- Instant access to your favourites
- Suggestions for web pates and searches in the address bar
- Private browsing
- Shortcuts for your favourite applications right on your desktop
