Wateen WiMAX launches Self Care Portal to track Usage and Billing Details
It sure is about time that the guys at Wateen realized how necessary and convenient it is for clients to be able to check on their bandwidth usage. An interesting post by Aamir Attaa on ProPakistani:
At last wateen has come up with an online usage and bill tracking system that will help customers to keep an eye on their bandwidth usage and remaining balance in their account. Wateen’s WiMAX (prepaid) users had been facing their service disconnections when they used to reach their allowed quota.

Don’t worry if you see an IP address in URL instead of Wateen.com, i have confirmed from their support that this is a legitimate service by Wateen Telecom. However, you may find several functions disabled due to early launch (this is what CSR told me)
Wateen’s Self Care Portal will help you to
- Get your current Service Information, that is your current package, tariffs, and other account details
- Save your favorite links
- Check your remaining balance
- Check your Internet Usage in current month, while providing you details about how much data has been used out of the allowed quota
- Information about last 5 Internet sessions –
- Information about your last 5 voice calls that you made
- You can set an Email Notification when your account balance reaches a limit (set by you)

Wateen’s customer support is worst, with every call and email they generate a new ticket and later closed it without solving problem, when I contacted them about it, they issued another ticket. My account is closed from last 2 weeks, I have called support, sent emails and visited karachi office many many times but they could not solve a simple billing mistake.

No, the service of wateen is not too worse.
I think this so called “Self Care Portal page is a fake page created by this man to have your log ins and passwords………

it was working last year about 4 months back this WATEEN SELF CARE portal… and i used to check my login details over there but now its not working since they have changed its outlook its not a spam….. but i guess there are some technical anomalies in it

May be all complainers of selfcare using other browsers like fire fox or google chrome, whereas It properly works within internet explorer only.

Dear Wateen Official.
I Got internet USB very anxiously , but could use only 2 months . I keenly observed that the package is not tarrified exately and i have to load 200/- extra each month . I purchased this package in 2500/- Today on 8 April 2010 I returned this device on a frenchis shop to Manager Adnan Mirza . I Thank to him to receive it without hasitation and without giving me receipt on a Frenchis Kalyar Road Lahore.

selfcare is just a fake..i m using wateen since 6 month and i have come to see that the customer support of wateen is just depend how much lies you can speak,,, wateen team miss guiding to all of customers… so i suggess that ptcl evo and wi tribe is the best becuase have no hidden charges….

Wateen is ******up guys, they don’t have any support team because their contract with motorola has ended and the reason is that they didn’t pay to motorola. Plus wateen has locked the facility to login with your ID and Password. Don’t pay attention to what the so call support persons are saying, return the devices and use witribe or ptcl.

self portal is not opening cauz wateen is having some technical issues and is upgrading its service as far as recharging your balance is concerned so you dont need to .Use wateen for free till the problem solves

salam! i m using wateen usb for the last two months but most of the times its selfcare portal shows errors. i don’t know why you people don’t repair it permanently! it is creating a really bad impression of wateen to its users.
